The Programming Committee on Youth 49th meeting: results and decisions

From 15 to 16 June 2023, the Programming Committee on Youth (CPJ) held its 49th meeting at the European Youth Centre Budapest.

At the meeting, decisions were made on the study sessions to be organised at the European Youth Centres in 2024 and EYF grants were awarded to international activities and annual work plans to be implemented by youth organisations in 2024. The CPJ approved the draft programme of activities of the European Youth Centres for 2024.

In addition, to respond to the growing challenges and needs of national and international youth civil society organisations, the CPJ decided to increase the maximum amounts of the EYF grants to international activities and annual work plans, as well as of the EYF structural grants for youth organisations. Youth organisations will be also able to use EYF grants to cover their project coordination staff costs and benefit from an increased VTR (voluntary time recognition) in their co-funding. During its meeting, the CPJ also opened a discussion on how to deal with delayed reports on EYF grants.

Following the 1 April 2023 deadline for grant applications, the Programming Committee on Youth awarded grants to 12 one-off international activities with a total amount of the grants €216 673 and to the annual work plans of 7 youth international organisations with grants totalling €336 282. Following the 15 April 2023 deadline for study sessions applications, the Committee approved sessions for 14 organisations to take place at the EYCs in the first half of 2024.
